I became a piano technician after years of performing on instruments that fought back — out of tune, uneven, or worn down.
I learned the trade so I could make the piano work with me, not against me, and help others enjoy that same ease when they play.
Today, I tune, repair, and maintain pianos for families, teachers, and churches throughout Eastern Kansas — including Lawrence, Topeka, Olathe, Overland Park, and nearby communities — so the piano doesn’t get in the way of making music.
Many of the families I work with are wonderfully diverse — some with young students just beginning lessons, others with adults rediscovering their music, and many with heirloom pianos that hold decades of memories.
No matter the setting, my goal is the same: that the instrument supports the music, not stands in its way.
